About the event
Session Overview: Blind Shaft Hoistway Rescue Scenarios
Designed for certified Rope Rescue Technicians looking to sharpen their skills, test gear setups, and train alongside peers in true-to-life environments.
Blind hoistway rescues present some of the trickiest technical challenges in rope rescue—zero intermediate access points, limited anchor options, complex edge transitions, and tight vertical communication. This hands-on scenario session gets technicians off the training tower and into a high-angle, real-world vertical shaft setting.
Hands-On Seat Time: Run realistic scenarios in actual blind hoistway structures.
Gear & Rigging Practice: Dial in high directionals (tripods/A-frames), twin-tensioned systems, mechanical advantages, and pick-off operations in tight confines.
Peer-to-Peer Knowledge Sharing: Network and collaborate with fellow regional techs to share best practices, tips, and custom system efficiency.
