About the event
This course introduces rescuers to rope access–based methods that go beyond traditional raise-and-lower systems, allowing personnel to traverse rope, reposition themselves efficiently, and operate independently in complex environments. Emphasis is placed on personal movement systems, transitions, and work positioning that improve access to victims located away from the vertical fall line.
Students will learn to:
Move efficiently on rope using rope access–influenced techniques
Transition between ascent, descent, and horizontal movement
Maintain stable work positioning while performing rescue tasks
Navigate deviations, re-directs, and complex access paths
